I was thinking... pref·er·ence /ˈpref(ə)rəns/ noun 1. a greater liking for one alternative over another or others. ===== The sitting in the dirt people probably called the sitting in the grass people worldly because they preferred to not get dirty. The sitting in the grass people probably called the sitting on the rock people worldly because they preferred not to get grass stained while they listened. The sitting on the rock people (thank you Tracy Garns) probably called the climbing in the tree people worldly because they choose to get a better view of the speaker. The climbing in the tree people probably called the sitting in the tent worldly because they preferred to avoid the elements of weather and use a sound system. The sitting in the tent people probably called the sitting on the pew people worldly because they preferred the comfort of a building. The sitting on the pew people probably called the sitting in the AC people worldly because they preferred the comfort of having air conditioning. The sitting in the AC people called the sitting on the padded pew people worldly because they preferred the comfort of a padded seat. The sitting on the padded pew people called the sitting in the individual seats worldly because they preferred knowing they had a spot. The sitting in the individual seat people will probably call the next group of people worldly because... well that’s just the way preference seems to go... Amoral preferences are not sin!!! BUT if we are going to call other people’s preferences sin, then the Amish are justified at calling the Mennonites. And if that’s true then just about every believer I know is lost because they prefer sitting in AC and vehicles run by electricity OR is it different because it’s our preference??? Did I miss any seating preferences? #Breath #TellYourFaceYourSaved #ThankingGodYourPreferenceAintTheTrueGospel #LongHashTagsForDays |
